Robertson, a global advocate for people living with HIV and LGBTQ+ communities, spoke on December 4 at an event that kicked off the school’s annual Social Impact Week.

The program, led by Professor Judith Chevalier, will support and convene members of the SOM community in exploring the ways that for-profit, nonprofit, and government entities can find and deploy innovative strategies to achieve social objectives.

The partnership between the two top business schools will give candidates the opportunity to earn two master’s degrees in two years—an MBA at HEC Paris, followed by a Master of Advanced Management degree at the Yale School of Management.

Samvid Ventures has named Ritter, a joint-degree student at Yale SOM and the Yale School of the Environment, as one of 20 mission-driven scholars in the philanthropic foundation’s 2023 cohort.

At the case competition, sponsored by Rice University, the team proposed an investment plan to help decarbonize the industrial sector.

In addition to Ambassadors Yousef Al Otaiba and Michael Herzog, the conversation included former White House advisor Jared Kushner and Ambassador Dennis Ross.

The award recognizes “outstanding achievements by early-career PhD scholars in social and personality psychology.”

Doctoral student Akshaya Suresh and Professor Vahideh Manshadi won the Public Sector Operations Research Best Video Award.

Doctoral student Fei Teng and Professors Tristan Botelho and K. Sudhir won the Best Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Paper Award.
