The new scholarship awards, called Aspire Fellowships, will be targeted to students who have overcome socioeconomic challenges and are part of a broader effort to extend access to MBA education at Yale.

A 12-week program offered through the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, a joint project of Yale SOM and the Yale School of the Environment, teaches professionals to approach environmental challenges with an emphasis on equity.

The school’s student-run impact investment fund, launched last year, has taken a stake in a financial technology company with roots at Yale.

SOM partnered with Seeds of Fortune, an organization that helps young women of color navigate the college application process, to bring 40 students to campus for a week of learning and exploration.
