Three Alumni Join Yale Ventures Board of Advisors

Stephen Knight ’90, Indra Nooyi ’80, and Nancy Pfund ’82 will help to guide Yale Ventures, a two-year-old initiative dedicated to translating Yale ideas into new ventures.

Yale Ventures, founded in 2022 to help turn Yale research and other ideas into impactful new ventures, has named the members of its inaugural board of advisors. The entrepreneurs, investors, and CEOs on the board will include three Yale SOM graduates: Stephen Knight ’90, Indra Nooyi ’80, and Nancy Pfund ’82.

Yale Ventures is led by Josh Geballe, a 2002 graduate of Yale SOM, who serves as managing director of the initiative as well as Yale’s senior associate provost for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Announcing the appointment, Yale Ventures said the role of the board would be to “advise the managing director and Yale Ventures staff, support the broader Yale innovation ecosystem, and help mobilize the necessary resources to fulfill Yale Ventures’ mission.”

“We are honored to have such an accomplished group of individuals join our inaugural Board of Advisors,” Geballe said. “Their guidance will be instrumental in supporting Yale innovators and their groundbreaking ideas and helping us to achieve our goals in strengthening Yale’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.”

Knight, who is also a graduate of the Yale School of Medicine, is the president and managing partner of F-Prime Capital. Nooyi was CEO and chairman of PepsiCo from 2006 to 2019 and is the author of My Life in Full: Work, Family and Our Future. Pfund is the founder and managing partner of DBL Partners and a pioneering impact investor.
