Two Doctoral Graduates Honored by American Marketing Association’s Donald Lehmann Awards

Ishita Chakraborty was co-winner of the award, and Navid Mojir was a finalist.

Ishita Chakraborty, who received her PhD in marketing at Yale SOM in 2021, is the co-winner of the 2023 Donald R. Lehmann Award, presented by the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Research Special Interest Group to honor the best dissertation-based article recently published in the Journal of Marketing or Journal of Marketing Research.

Chakraborty, who is now on the faculty of the Wisconsin School of Business, won for her paper “Attribute Sentiment Scoring with Online Text Reviews: Accounting for Language Structure and Missing Attributes,” co-authored with Minkyung Kim, also a PhD graduate of Yale SOM, and Professor K. Sudhir, her dissertation advisor.

Navid Mojir, a 2017 PhD graduate of Yale SOM and a member of the Harvard Business School faculty, was a finalist for his paper “A Structural Model of Organizational Buying for Business-to-Business Markets: Innovation Adoption with Share-of-Wallet Contracts,” also co-authored with Sudhir.
