Amy Wrzesniewski, previously professor of organizational behavior, is the Michael H. Jordan Professor of Management. Gal Zauberman, previously professor of marketing, is Joseph F. Cullman 3rd Professor of Marketing.

Wrzesniewski, who joined the Yale SOM faculty in 2006 after teaching at New York University, is an expert in how people experience and make meaning of work. She teaches the core Managing Groups & Teams and Global Virtual Teams courses.

“Professor Wrzesniewski’s work is viewed as pioneering and is very highly cited in the literature,” said Edieal Pinker, Yale SOM’s deputy dean. “Beyond her research she is an awarding-winning and beloved teacher at the School of Management.”

Zauberman joined the Yale faculty in 2015 from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His research is focused on consumer judgment and decision making, time in decisions, financial decision making, and memory for emotions and choice. He teaches the core Customer course.

“Professor Zauberman’s research is highly regarded,” Pinker said. “He has advised over 20 PhD students and is viewed by his peers as an excellent mentor of young scholars.”

Several other faculty members also have new titles. Sang Kim and Lorenzo Caliendo have been promoted to professor of operations management and professor of economics, respectively. Saed Alizamir has been promoted to associate professor of operations management, and Kosuke Uetake to associate professor of marketing.

William English, who was previously senior lecturer in finance, has been named professor in the practice of finance.
