Yale SOM Honors Prof. Subrata Sen with Named Fund
The fund will support scholarship and teaching in the area of marketing.
The Yale School of Management has created a named fund in honor of Subrata K. Sen, the Joseph F. Cullman 3rd Professor of Organization, Management, and Marketing, who is retiring this year after teaching at Yale SOM for more than three decades.
The fund will support scholarship and teaching in the area of marketing.
Sen is a foundational figure in the field of quantitative marketing. He was an early editor of Marketing Science, and through the articles he published helped to establish the use of tools such as game theory and econometrics in marketing research.
He also played an important part in Yale SOM’s history, helping to build the school’s robust marketing faculty and serving for decades as the director of its doctoral program, which expanded sharply under his leadership.
