Indra Nooyi ’80 and Susan Lennon ’85 Awarded Yale Medal

The Yale Medal is the highest award presented by the Association of Yale Alumni and recognizes outstanding service to the university.

Two Yale SOM alumnae, Indra Nooyi ’80 and Susan Lennon ’85, are among the five Yale graduates selected to receive the Yale Medal, the highest award presented by Association of Yale Alumni (AYA), in 2016. The award recognizes outstanding service to the university.

Indra Nooyi ’80

Nooyi, the chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiCo, has served on the President’s Council on International Affairs and the Yale Tomorrow Campaign, as well as on the Yale SOM Board of Advisors. She is a generous donor to Yale SOM, most recently giving a substantial gift to endow the Indra K. Nooyi Deanship and inaugurate the Fifth Decade Innovation Fund. 

Susan Lennon ’85

Lennon, the former president of the Women's College Coalition, is the chair of Yale Women, an organization of women alumni. She has previously served on the SOM Alumni Association board and as chair of the Yale SOM Alumni Fund.

The honorees also include Roland Betts YC ’68, a member of the Yale SOM Board of Advisors.
