With Yale’s developing focus on China, the Kevin Y. Zhang Scholarship is an important step in fostering cross-cultural dialogue and exchange. The scholarship will complement other Yale SOM initiatives in China, including the China Research Initiative at the International Center for Finance and the April 2006 China Industry Conference at Yale.

Kevin Y. Zhang is currently Managing Director of Asia Special Situations Group with Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. Mr. Zhang was a mainland Chinese student who came to Yale SOM and through his scholarship he hopes to give other mainland students access to the same range of opportunities that he enjoyed.
