Assistant Dean Bruce DelMonico Joins Board of Graduate Management Admission Council

DelMonico has led Yale SOM’s admissions team since 2006. 

Bruce DelMonico, Yale SOM’s assistant dean for admissions, has joined the board of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), effective July 1. The organization administers the GMAT exam as well as providing research and other tools to the graduate management industry. 

The board is made of up of representatives of business schools around the world, as well as from private industry.

“We are thrilled and grateful for the six outstanding individuals from four continents joining the board of GMAC, bringing with them diverse and inspiring perspectives on graduate management education,” said Sangeet Chowfla, president and CEO of GMAC, in a press release. “As the industry continues to evolve and adapt in the face of the ever-changing landscape, their onboarding signals GMAC’s strong commitment to its global mission of connecting business schools and candidates in support of growing graduate business education.”

Delmonico has led Yale SOM’s admissions team since 2006. Before coming to the school in 2004, he was an attorney. He has served on the board of trustees of New Haven’s Hopkins School and on multiple corporate boards. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, he also has a master’s degree in literature from the University of Texas at Austin.
