Areas of Focus

Imagine the resources of a great university focused on the issues you care most about.

We draw on expertise from across Yale and beyond to provide you with the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in areas that every leader must grapple with: asset management, healthcare, and sustainability.

Whether you specialize in one area of focus or choose courses from across areas, you’ll develop a mindset for dealing with big questions and finding opportunity for your company. You’ll also become part of a community of students, faculty, and alumni who care deeply about using their business education to address societal problems.

If you choose to specialize, you’ll take at least four courses within your area of focus in your second year and participate in at least six sessions of the relevant colloquium each year. You’ll learn from leading Yale researchers, meet the industry leaders (often alumni) who visit campus, and collaborate with exceptional classmates who share your passion, whose professional experience and perspectives will give you a fresh view of your industry and inspire you to lead at the nexus of business and society.
