Career Development Office

The Career Development Office (CDO) at Yale SOM provides ongoing professional career development and career management assistance to Yale MBA for Executives students. Whether you are interested in advancing in your current organization or evaluating unexpected opportunities, the CDO has a number of resources available to assist you.

Career Workshops

The CDO creates the foundation for your professional development with a curriculum of workshops on the elements of the career search process, such as résumé and cover letter writing, networking, off-campus job searches, interviewing skills, and negotiation strategy.  

One-on-One Advising 

The CDO provides resources and connections to help you maximize your professional development. At Yale, you will have the opportunity to work closely with CDO staff who provide students with the guidance and tools to meet career aspirations. The CDO also helps students initiate new relationships (and maintain existing relationships) with industry-leading organizations.

Career Management System

As a Yale MBA for Executives student, you will have access to the Career Management System to peruse job postings and apply for jobs, register for workshops, coaching and advising sessions. In addition, all Yale SOM students are encouraged to create a profile and upload a resume so that potential employers may view your professional background.

Alumni Network

As a Yale SOM student, you have access to the 9,000+ graduates of the school, leaders in a variety of fields and industries. You also can access the broader network of over 165,000 Yale graduates. Yale SOM students frequently remark on how responsive our alumni are to inquiries.
