What surprised you the most about being an MBA student?
I've been most surprised by just how many different topics, ideas and activities I've engaged with in my first year here... not only at events and talks, but also from classmates and professors. It feels like I can do so much more with my days. I've been at talks and panels about anti-trust laws, seaweed innovation, and luxury product design. I've chatted with classmates about real estate investing, biodiversity credits, and starting new companies. I've met with executives from some of the biggest companies in the world, and with founders of some of the coolest startups today. Outside the classroom, I've spent time ice climbing, going to plays at the Yale Rep, and (gradually) learning to skate & play hockey. I've made incredibly close friends and have spent time with them in and out of New Haven. It's pretty wild to think that all this (and much, much more) has happened in just 8 months.
