Tell us about your International Experience trip. Where did you go? What was your favorite experience?

I went to Costa Rica with some of my closest friends and was incredibly excited about seeing the example Costa Rica is setting for Latin America in terms of political stability in combination with environmentalism and a focus on protecting their biodiversity! Professor Diana van Patten is Costa Rican herself so she was able to get ahold of very impressive speakers from government and businesses. My favorite academic experience was our trip to INCAE Business School where some professors and the past dean spoke in detail about the healthcare system and current political and economic issues facing the country. My favorite non-academic experience was our dinner in the hills above the capital San Jose in a restaurant overlooking the twinkling lights of the city with a dance recital from local highschool children performing traditional dances.
