Renée Lanza ’23 Named to American Water Works Association Class of 2022 ‘5 Under 35’
The award recognizes Lanza’s record of engagement with the association.
Renée Lanza ’23, an MBA for Executives student in the Sustainability area of focus, has been named to the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) 2022 class of “5 Under 35.” According to the AWWA, “The award recognizes young AWWA members who actively pursue their advancement in the water sector through engagement in student and young professional events and activities and by representing students and young professionals’ interests throughout AWWA. The individual must be an AWWA member and under 35 years of age when nominated.”
Lanza is the project manager for water infrastructure at Woodward & Curran. Her service to AWWA includes participation as a member of the AWWA Young Professionals Committee; vice chair of the AWWA Water Treatment Facility Design & Construction Committee; a member of the AWWA Project Delivery Committee; chair, vice chair, and social media chair of the NEWWA Young Professionals Committee; and a member of the Section Networking Committee. She has also volunteered as a mentor within the AWWA, published in its journal, and presented at its conferences and events.
