What is your advice for a prospective SOMer?
My advice for a prospective SOMer is to be intentional with your time and goals. First, understand your priorities early, especially in your first semester. With so many amazing events, clubs, and social activities happening all at once, it's easy to get swept up and feel FOMO. Be clear about what matters most to you and focus your energy there. Second, do your research before you arrive. Whether it's consulting, tech, real estate, or anything else, the more you know going in, the more you can hit the ground running. Lastly, don't wait to connect with second-years. They're your most valuable resource for real insights into recruiting, classes, and how to navigate everything Yale SOM has to offer.
