Tell us about your International Experience trip. Where did you go? What was your favorite part?
As I had never visited Asia, I chose the International Experience Korea. I got to visit Seoul, the Demilitarized Zone, and Busan, accompanied by an amazing group of MBA peers and faculty, transforming the experience into something truly unique and unlike any of my previous travels. During the daytime, we got to interact and learn from some of Korea's most influential institutions, ranging from traditional (Bank of Korea, the Hanwha conglomerate, etc.) to disruptive (MakinaRocks, Swing Mobility, etc.). In the evenings, we immersed ourselves in Korean food, art, and music — one of the biggest highlights for me was visiting the seafood market in Busan, where we picked live seafood like octopus and giant crab and enjoyed what was hands down the freshest and most delicious seafood I've ever had (and this comes from a Peruvian!). Even though I had high expectations for the International Experience Korea, it exceeded them in every way.
