EMBA Students Offer Healthcare Expertise on Recent Podcasts
Three students in the MBA for Executives program’s healthcare area of focus have made recent appearances on podcasts, discussing their areas of expertise.
On February 23, Dr. Elena Ratner ’21, at gynecologic oncologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital, appeared on The Lisa Wexler Show, a radio show and podcast that originates at Connecticut’s WICC 600 radio. Ratner discussed the COVID-19 vaccine and answered questions about the safety of the vaccine for women who are planning to become pregnant, reassuring listeners that the vaccine does not affect fertility. Dr. Christine Lum Lung ’21, CEO of Origin Healthcare, appeared on a February 25 episode of the podcast Healthcare Huddle. She discussed the company, which offers hospital-level care at home, and how this model of care can complement hospital care and improve outcomes for some patients. Listen
Fatimah Loren Dreier (Muhammad) ’22, the executive director of the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention and a Pozen-Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Health Equity Leadership at Yale SOM, appeared in a February 26 episode of The Dose, a podcast on healthcare produced by the Commonwealth Fund. Dreier discussed how organizations in the alliance bring a public health approach to violence and create programs to help break the cycle of violence. Listen
