Meet Assistant Director of Admissions Liz Fiskio
I am so excited about the new experiences that lie ahead for me in the MBA for Executives program.
I started my journey at Yale SOM in 2015, working in the Deputy Dean’s office, where I assisted with faculty affairs. That experience gave me a strong understanding of the school and its mission to educate leaders for business and society, and I have loved getting to know our remarkable faculty members. Now, I am honored to join the team of intelligent, kind, and talented people in the MBA for Executives program.
A little bit about my background: I grew up in Branford, Connecticut, a few miles east of New Haven, and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Spanish and international relations. During my studies, I had the opportunity to study abroad twice in Spain. Those experiences made me passionate about languages, culture, and travel. I have always enjoyed meeting new people and learning about the experiences that have brought them to where they are today, which is one reason why I am so happy to be working with EMBA admissions.
In my first two weeks with the EMBA program, I have had the pleasure of meeting many current students and have had conversations with several prospective students. All of them bring their own unique experiences and perspectives, and it is such a pleasure to see their excitement, dedication, and commitment to learning. It is inspiring to be surrounded by these creative and driven individuals. Their determination to better themselves and the world is contagious.
Having grown up in the New Haven area, I look forward to sharing my love of its culture, people, and history (and pizza!) with prospective students from around the country. Part of what makes this program unique is the experiences and opportunities that accompany classroom learning. Students are able to share in many activities and events that allow them to engage even further with their classmates and and with the culture of Yale and New Haven.
I am excited to continue to meet the talented, driven individuals who are inspired to pursue an EMBA with us at Yale, and I look forward to being part of your journey. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you through this process!
