Meet the MAM Class of 2026

Learn about the newest students in Yale SOM’s Master of Advanced Management program from Kate Navarro, the director of admissions for management master’s programs.

Each year, the Master of Advanced Management (MAM) program welcomes a new class that brings fresh energy, diverse experiences, and bold aspirations to Yale SOM. We are thrilled to welcome an exceptional group of 51 students to the MAM Class of 2026. These students come from 21 top MBA schools across the globe and hold 24 different citizenships. Forty-three percent of the class identify as women, and the average age is 32. Students bring an average of seven years of professional experience to the program.

Every student is fluent in English, and many speak multiple additional languages, with 29 students mastering three or more, and 13 speaking four or more. Together, the students in this year’s cohort speak 20 languages. These include Bengali, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, Portuguese, Spanish, Tamil, and Thai. Remarkably, 96% of the class are international passport holders, bringing diverse cultural perspectives and global experiences to the program.

The Class of 2026 reflects notable academic and professional diversity. Students have earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in fields such as accounting, psychology, philosophy, software engineering, chemical engineering, political economy, studio art, and nautical sciences across China, Ghana, India, Uganda, the UK, the U.S., and beyond. Several students hold dual degrees, including MBAs and master’s degrees in education, technology systems management, computer science, and economic policy. Many also bring professional certifications such as accounting licenses and Google Data Analytics credentials. Several have served in leadership roles at their previous institutions, including in clubs devoted to technology, marketing, and student governance.

Prior to Yale, students worked in a wide range of industries, with the most common being finance, consulting, technology, and consumer goods. This year's cohort includes professionals from Ernst & Young, IBM, HSBC, General Motors, Bain & Company, ByteDance, Accenture, Siemens, BNP Paribas, Hewlett Packard, and Anheuser-Busch InBev. Their previous job titles include VP of strategy, product leader, founder, and executive council member. They bring professional experience from six continents and over 30 countries, including Vietnam, the UAE, Senegal, South Korea, and Chile.

Many students have also contributed to their communities by founding businesses, mentorship programs, and nonprofit organizations. One student co-founded a startup manufacturing patented wool air filters for manufacturers; another launched a veterinary technology and industry club; others have led large student organizations, published thought leadership, and spearheaded community engagement initiatives.

The MAM Class of 2026 brings a rich array of passions and talents to SOM, including cooking, yoga, sailing, and skiing. Students are avid hikers, runners, photographers, and dancers. Others are professional athletes and adventurers—including a national-level competition swimmer, a skipper who led a yacht flotilla across the Atlantic, and a private pilot. Another student is a fashion designer whose work has been featured in Vogue, while one published a sci-fi short story about space travel—at the age of 12.

This class also brings a deep commitment to service. Members have volunteered with Veterinarians Without Borders, raised over $200,000 for charity, served as adjunct professors and visiting lecturers, and participated in global initiatives like the Taipei Flora Exposition. They have touched lives across continents by supporting youth in Ghana, leading consulting projects in the UAE, building mountain biking trails, and mentoring future leaders.

The MAM Class of 2026 is not just a group of accomplished professionals. They are also storytellers, strategists, scientists, social entrepreneurs, and changemakers, poised to address the world’s most pressing challenges with empathy, creativity, and rigor.

We’re proud to welcome this remarkable group to Yale SOM, and we look forward to seeing the contributions they’ll make—to our community and to the world.

Welcome to SOM!
