Sachit Varma ’26: From Finance to Frameworks

I came to the MAM after several years working in venture capital and investment banking. At SOM, I used Data Analysis & Causal Inference and Policy Modeling to sharpen how I think about evidence and causality. LLMs and Management of Software Development gave me a technical grounding to engage credibly with the AI founders I back. The Global Financial Crisis and Fixed Income Strategies added macro and markets context I’d always wanted to formalize. Crossing into Jackson and SEAS further affirmed that the best investors understand the world beyond deal metrics and the spreadsheet.

Jose Lorenzo (Renzo) Montenegro Yupangco ’26: Bridging Business, Tech, and the Arts

I used the MAM program to build an interdisciplinary curriculum spanning business, technology, law, leadership, and the arts. Beyond the classroom, serving as a Global Network Week Ambassador was especially meaningful, as it represented a full-circle moment: I first participated in Global Network Week at SOM and later had the opportunity to help facilitate it. That experience was also one of the reasons I chose to pursue the MAM degree at SOM. Together, these experiences prepared me to lead across industries and sectors.
