Health Equity Virtual Master Class

Join us as we recreate a Yale School of Management classroom experience as professors and alumni lead a discussion on “The Business of Health Equity.”   You will also have an opportunity to virtually connect with admissions staff to learn more about the MBA for Executives Program and the Pozen-Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Health Equity Leadership at Yale University.  "The Business of Health Equity," hosted by: Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, MD, MHS  Dr. Howard Forman, MD, MBA  Dr. Cece Calhoun, MD, MPHS, MBA  Dr. Rosana Gonzalez-Colaso, PharmD, MPH  Health inequities in the US account for over $320B annually in excess healthcare system costs. The productivity loss for individuals, families, and society is vast. Solving for health-related social needs and other systemic causes requires novel approaches to multi-sectoral coordination and healthcare financing.   During this panel style discussion, expert interprofessional faculty will explore pressing health equity challenges and opportunities ranging from an evolving payment policy landscape, shifting workforce dynamics, and innovations in system design to centering the patient experience and community expertise in shared governance structures.   This session will also spotlight critical health equity leadership skills such as how to clarify the value proposition, anticipate and manage resistance, define success, and have critical conversations about the root causes of persistent healthcare disparities. This learning opportunity will be highly relevant for healthcare professionals and others with an interest in advancing equity in health and social care.

Join Valerie Cardona, Assistant Director of Financial Aid as she walks through elements of the MBA for Executives financial aid process and offers insights into commonly asked questions. The Admissions Team will also give an overview of the admissions process and you will have the chance to pose your own questions as you consider options to finance your MBA.
