Tell us about your International Experience trip. Where did you go? What was your favorite part?
For my International Experience trip, I traveled to Ghana. The highlight of the trip was visiting a cocoa farm owned by a fellow SOM student — it was a rare and personal window into both the local agricultural industry and the entrepreneurial spirit within our own community. What made the experience even more memorable was a small, unexpected moment: opening Instagram mid-trip and seeing my classmates posting photos from every corner of the world, all at the same time. There was something quietly powerful about that — each of us immersed in a completely different culture and context, yet all sharing the same experience of stepping outside the classroom together. It reminded me of just how wide and genuine the connections within this community truly are.
