Tell us about your International Experience trip. Where did you go? What was your favorite part?
For my Global Network Week in Chile, I spent a week immersing myself in South American culture for the first time, and it was an incredible experience. While I learned a lot about the country's history, including the fascinating fact that voting is such a cornerstone of their democracy that you actually get fined if you don't participate, the highlight was the people. Since it was a GNW, I wasn't just traveling with my usual classmates; I was exploring Santiago and the Casablanca Valley with students from business schools all over the world. We spent the week trying amazing local food, picking up as much Spanish as possible, and laughing over the fact that there really are more dogs in the streets than babies. Moving so far from home for my MBA, I've realized how much I value that instant connection, and being able to navigate a new country while building those global friendships was easily my favorite part of the trip.
