What was your favorite memory from your first year?
One of my favorite memories from first year was one of the very first weekends at SOM. A group of us ended up organizing a big America BBQ /Korean BBQ almost by accident. It started from a few casual conversations and quickly turned into a much larger get-together.
It was one of the first times we were all really meeting each other, and it turned into such a fun, easy way to mix and connect with people outside of structured events. What I loved most was how spontaneous it was. No big planning, just people being open and saying yes.
Moments like that are what have made grad school so much fun for me: the unplanned, in-between experiences that end up being the most memorable.
