What is your advice for a prospective SOMer?
When I was first applying to MBA programs, I remember hearing the same advice over and over again: "Be yourself." At the time, it sounded vague and even a little cliche. But after spending about a year at SOM, I finally understand what it means.
The MBA experience only becomes meaningful if you show up as your authentic self. Your background, perspectives, and personality are what make your contributions valuable to the community. My advice would be simple: don't try to fit into what you think an MBA student should look like. Just be yourself-that's what will make your SOM experience truly worthwhile.
