What is your advice for a prospective SOMer?
For a prospective SOMer, my biggest advice would be to come in with intention, but also with humility and openness to change. One of the hardest parts of the MBA, especially as an international student, is that everything happens at once. There are so many people to meet, opportunities to explore, and paths to consider that it can feel overwhelming very quickly.
What helped me most was understanding that the MBA is not only about executing the plan you had before arriving. It is also about letting the experience challenge you. In my case, that meant being open to new people, new environments, and even rethinking the direction I wanted to take. At the same time, it is important to know what you want from the experience, because that clarity helps you focus your energy instead of getting pulled in every direction.
I would also really encourage prospective students to take full advantage of both SOM and New Haven. Some of the best parts of the experience happen outside the formal recruiting or classroom process, whether that is getting advice from professors, building genuine friendships, or finding spaces and routines that help you stay grounded.

Personal Interests...
High altitude mountaineering, including summiting the highest peak in the Americas. I have also been training for my first Ironman during the MBA. I am especially passionate about the sea, whether through scuba diving, kiteboarding, or surfing. Professionally, I am deeply interested in building from an SME perspective and helping grow and preserve legacy businesses. That is why I am especially drawn to the full journey, from structuring a deal to operating a business from the perspective of a CEO.
