On April 30, the Yale SOM Marketing Club held a fireside chat that at least for its guest was literally at a fireside. The online session featured an interview of Seth Farbman, the former chief marketing officer of Spotify and The Gap, by Anu Byagari ’21, the club’s incoming co-president, who called him a “rock star” in the marketing world. Farbman, who appeared from his home, spoke about trends in marketing and how students need to “future proof” their careers, constantly growing and expanding their skills so they can weather the current moment and tumultuous times in the future.
