The HEC Paris-Yale SOM M2M allows students to study business and advanced management on two major campuses, respectively in Europe and the United States. Students spend year one at HEC Paris in the MBA program and year two in the Yale School of Management’s Master of Advanced Management program. At the completion of year two, students will graduate with an MBA degree from HEC Paris and an MAM degree from Yale.

Program Structure

By spending two years at two leading business schools on different continents, students get a unique global perspective, learn from leading business experts in Europe and the United States, and connect with two vibrant business school communities.

In year one at HEC, students complete the rigorous MBA core curriculum and gain competencies in leadership, finance, marketing, and other subjects. At Yale, students take additional leadership and business courses, and choose from electives offered throughout Yale University to pursue their professional interests.

Credits earned at Yale through the MAM program will count toward the HEC MBA degree.

Program Descriptions

HEC Paris MBA: At the HEC Paris MBA, our students find the ideal environment to realize their full potential and become a business leader for the 21st century. Working alongside high-achieving peers and with our world-class professors, our students build the courage, competence, and character to change the world, in an energizing, collaborative community that mirrors the diversity of today’s global economy.

A perfect equation between the size of our intakes – limited to 300 students yearly – and an individualized approach to learning means that everyone’s ideas and input are valued. This encouragement comes from faculty, staff, and other students, in an environment where participants form a close-knit community for life. Conversations with peers – 94% international – shape viewpoints, enrich the experience, and prepare students to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.

Excellent professors at the forefront of research will build upon the unique talents of our students and shape the learning experience. Our faculty infuse a rare combination of broad experience, personal insights, and the latest in advanced management thinking into their classes.

Yale SOM MAM: The MAM program gathers the most promising management students from around the world to exchange ideas and points of view that complement the knowledge and skills they learned at their home institution as MBA students. MAM students participate in a set of required courses oriented around major global risks and trends and the role of business leaders in today’s society. They also curate their own intellectual journey by choosing electives from throughout Yale University. The majority of the MAM student’s course of study is self-designed through this selection of electives from across both Yale SOM and Yale University.
