Please join us as we inaugurate the SOM Triangle Chapter with an event at the Museum of Life and Science's AfterHours: Science Distilled, with CEO & President Carrie Heinonen SOM97. More than 90 SOM alumni reside and work in the region and we’re excited for this group to gather as an official SOM Alumni Chapter!

Delve into the science that takes grain to glass in this immersive AfterHours experience. Enjoy live music from Burn the Breeze and explore the chemistry of cocktails with some of Durham’s best mixologists. Chat with local distilleries and discover all the stages of liquor distillation, find out what makes their vodkas, whiskeys, and gins unique and of course, taste their products! Plus, enjoy adult-only access to the Museum’s exhibits. Experience hands-on science experiments, crafts, activities and much more all while connecting with fellow members of the Yale SOM alumni community.

SOM Alumni will receive discounted admission to this event, which includes a SOM-exclusive happy hour for Alumni and their guests, a commemorative glass, three drink tickets for hand-crafted cocktails, food and drink samples, and a chance to win some exclusive SOM swag! This event is 21+
