SOM Connect is the School of Management’s new digital alumni engagement platform. It is the digital hub for the alumni directory, events, regional and class groups, and much more.
SOM Connect is also the place where alumni can connect with each other in meaningful ways by having conversations in the global and group live feeds, searching for alumni with similar interests in the directory, and soon through the mentoring module.

HOW DO I LOGIN TO SOM CONNECT?
There are two ways to log in to SOM Connect. The two pathways are outlined below, but you are also encouraged to watch our login how-to video.
The first option is to use your Yale Net ID/password that you have used to access the former alumni directory, 12Twenty, or the loan forgiveness application. To use this option select the “Yale Net ID Login” button on the login screen.
If you don’t remember your Net ID or password you can create an account with SOM Connect using the email address that Yale SOM has on record (where you receive your emails from us). To use this option, on the login screen select “reset password” which will direct you to a screen to enter the email address on record and take you through the process of setting up your account.

*Note: The first time you log into SOM Connect you will be prompted to answer a few questions and verify your information. Not all fields are mandatory, and this will only occur the first time you log in.

- Review & complete your profile A robust profile helps other alumni and students find and connect with you
- Start a conversation Join or start a conversation in the main or group-specific Live Feeds
- Join groups You are assigned your class & regional chapter groups, but are invited to join other regional or shared groups
- Explore the directory Filter results based on location, degree, and grad year
WHAT DOES SOM CONNECT OFFER ME THAT OTHER PLATFORMS AT YALE DON’T?
While there are many great platforms available at Yale, none offer a tailored experience specifically for SOM alumni like SOM Connect does. The Yale SOM alumni community is robust and tight-knit with specific needs to network and connect, so the school is pleased to be able to offer a customized experience for all alumni.
HOW DO I START A NEW GROUP IN SOM CONNECT?
The Alumni Relations office is consistently working on launching new groups (regional, affinity, shared interest). Over time, we will be launching more and are interested in any recommendations. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any ideas.
HOW DO I CREATE AN EVENT IN SOM CONNECT?
Events are created and managed by the Alumni Relations office in conjunction with alumni volunteers. Events sponsored by Yale SOM follow guidelines surrounding budget, marketing, communications, registration and University COVID guidelines. If there is an event you are interested in hosting, please let email@example.com know.
Alternatively, if there is an existing event (for example a local Yale club is hosting something that you’d like to share with local alumni) you’re able to post it yourself in a group's live feed.
