Video: SOM Students Help New Haveners, One Bike at a Time
Just down the street from Evans Hall is the Bradley Street Bike Co-op, a nonprofit hub for those looking to put their repair skills to work on bikes that will be donated to city residents, including newly arrived refugees.
“It’s a part of the MBA experience not only to build relationships with our peers, but also to be a part of New Haven,” says Ray Pottebaum ’22, one of half a dozen Yale SOM students who volunteer with Bradley Street Bike Co-op. The New Haven-based nonprofit is a hub for those looking to put their repair skills to work on bikes that will be donated to city residents, including to new refugees to New Haven through the Integrated Immigrant and Refugee Service on Nicholl Street. This is just one of many projects SOM students are engaged in across New Haven this year.
