Video: Claire Ruud ’12 on Changing Gender Dynamics in the Workplace
The Forté Foundation , a nonprofit focused on supporting women in leadership roles across business and a Yale SOM partner organization, recently featured Claire Ruud ’12, director of curatorial strategy at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, in its “MBAs on the Move” video series. Ruud is the director of curatorial strategy at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. She said her decision to go to business school was motivated by a desire to better help artists manage their careers after the 2008 financial crises.
“My job is to take artistic vision and find the business strategy,” said Ruud of her current role.
Ruud said it’s important to her to be involved with the Forté Foundation because she’s “interested in seeing more women with intersectional identities in positions of power in our world… Forté provides a network so that we can support each other individually to succeed and change the world so that the dynamics of gender are different in the workplace.”
