The Yale SOM Master’s Degree in Asset Management program seeks early-career candidates with a strong interest  in investment analysis, fiduciary ethics, and financial portfolio performance. Graduates will receive an MMS degree and will be prepared to take full-time roles in a variety of financial management positions, from hedge funds to investment analysis to philanthropic portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have recently earned a bachelor’s degree or will have fewer than three years of career experience.

Admissions Criteria

The Master’s Degree in Asset Management is intended for early career candidates.* The Admissions Committee will evaluate candidates based on:

  • Academic history
  • Quantitative preparation
  • Ability to work and communicate in a dynamic team setting
  • Interest in a career in asset management
* Mid-career professionals with experience in the investment industry may want to consider the MBA for Executives focus area in asset management to step up their leadership abilities and industry expertise.
