Our graduates are now working as buy-side analysts for private equity firms, investment managers at both venture capital firms and hedge funds, and as ESG reporting analysts at financial service firms. Graduates have also chosen careers in sales and trading for major international banks and in strategy and consulting roles at insurance companies, and have settled in geographic regions as nearby as Greenwich, Connecticut, and as far away as Shanghai, China.

Specialized Career Development Program

The Master’s in Asset Management program has a dedicated specialist within the Career Development Office (“CDO”) who works exclusively with Asset Management students even before the start of fall classes.

The CDO develops relationships with top industry employers and identifies opportunities for students across a range of positions within the asset management industry. In addition, the CDO offers robust career management support that includes workshops and individual coaching on:

  • Identifying, assessing, and defining target roles, geographies, and organizations
  • Résumés and marketing collateral
  • Storytelling
  • Networking
  • Interviewing
  • Negotiating and offer management
  • Starting strong in a new position

Asset Management students will also have access to many student-run clubs and professional organizations at Yale SOM and their career-related programming.
