Master of Advanced Management Application Is Open

The Office of Admissions provides information about the application and MAM program, including a new requirement for applicants, a new Management Science Concentration, and a new opportunity for students outside of the Global Network for Advanced Management to join the MAM program.

The Yale School of Management Office of Admissions for the Master of Advanced Management (MAM) program is pleased to announce that the application for the Class of 2023 is now open. The Round 1 application deadline is January 6, 2022.

Our team invites you to join an upcoming virtual information session to learn more about the MAM program at Yale SOM and hear your questions answered live. Assistant Dean of Global Network Programs Camino de Paz and Associate Director of Admissions Kate Navarro will introduce you to the program and walk you through the curriculum, Yale resources, and elements of the application. We will be hosting various webinars throughout the rest of the year, including student and alumni panel discussions. These are great opportunities to hear from current and former students as they share their experiences as members of the Yale community.

In addition to the webinars, there are other ways to learn more about what makes the MAM program distinctive. We encourage you to engage with the MAM Admissions Ambassadors to learn about their student experience during the MAM program as well as after the program. Please also take a moment to learn more about the Class of 2022, who just started their journey at Yale a few weeks ago.

We hope that you decide to apply to join the MAM Class of 2023. You can find a full breakdown of the required application materials on the Yale SOM website, along with the application timelines for Rounds 1, 2, and 3.

We are excited to learn more about you through your application. The application includes three short essays this year. These essays give the admissions committee a way to hear more about what is important to you, your career path, and how the MAM program fits into your goals. We hope this reflection and forethought will help you paint a picture that allows the committee to better understand your story and ambitions.

Those interested in applying to the MAM program this year should be aware of changes in our application requirements, including the standardized test score requirement. The MAM program now requires a GMAT or GRE score as part of the application. Keep in mind that is no minimum score needed to apply, and that the test score is only one part of the evaluation of your application.

Another feature new to the MAM program, announced last year, is the Management Science Concentration. In a recent blog post, we explained more about this concentration and how it fits into the MAM curriculum. The concentration has a STEM designation, which allows graduates to qualify for an additional two-year STEM extension on their Post-Completion OPT (Optional Practical Training) work permission.

Finally, we’re pleased to announce that we will be opening our MAM program to MBA graduates from outside of the Global Network for Advanced Management in our Round 3 (Rounds 1 and 2 are reserved for students from schools in the Global Network). If you know of exceptional international MBA graduates who would be interested in continuing their education at Yale SOM, please encourage them to get in touch with us.

The MAM Admissions Office is here to help you through the application process. We welcome your questions at advanced.management@yale.edu.
