Highlights from the First Month

It has been one month since the MAM Class of 2014 students arrived on campus, and it's a good time to look back at all that has happened thus far. Visits to GE, Bloomberg and AIG, the course “shopping” period, the kickoff of the MAM Core Curriculum, SOM Club sign ups, a reception with the Yale World Fellows and “coffee chats” with prospective employers have all contributed to a very packed first four weeks.

Highlights have included the Global Challenges Symposium session on Grand Strategies featuring Charles Hill, Distinguished Fellow in International Security Studies, the reception with the Yale World Fellows and meeting with Peter Hancock, the CEO of AIG’s Property Casual division.

Looking ahead later today, the MAM's will elect the program’s first representative to the SOM Student Government. Next week we have a session of the Colloquium in Advanced Management featuring James Firestone, President of Corporate Operations at Xerox. Next month, a number of MAMs will join Yale 2nd Year MBAs and other students from across the Global Network for Advanced Management and participate in this fall’s Network Week.  It is not an overstatement to say that the second year of the MAM is off to a great start!
