From the Director for Admissions: Apply for the MAM Class of 2023 Starting September 22
Camino de Paz provides insight into the applicant pool for the Class of 2022 and discusses changes in the application process that will affect applicants to the Class of 2023.
This has been, without a doubt, an unprecedented and challenging year on all fronts. The admissions process has also been affected by our new reality, causing our team to reinvent our process and move our interactions with candidates to a virtual environment. To be honest, we had no idea what to expect as we began recruiting the Class of 2022. But now that the application has closed, we have sufficient data to say that it has been one of the most competitive years, both in terms of volume of applications and quality of the candidates. We are extremely proud of the class we have recruited so far, and we are convinced that it will not only be composed of individuals who will benefit from the program and make great contributions to it, but also of future leaders who are aligned with Yale SOM’s values and mission. The members of the Class of 2022 will be a great fit for our school and our tight-knit community.
We continue to be committed to being the most global U.S. business school and to expand our footprint all over the globe, to make sure we are educating leaders who will make a positive impact on business and society worldwide.
As we start planning for our next admissions cycle, we would like to inform you that, in order to have a consistent admission process across programs at Yale SOM, we will be requiring a standardized test (GMAT or GRE) as part of our applications starting in September 2021. Candidates shouldn’t feel that their application rests on the outcome of a standardized test; there won’t be a minimum score required. This will just be another data point we will be looking at in our holistic review of every candidate.
If you are considering submitting an application for the MAM program, please keep in mind that the application will be live on our website on September 22, 2021. Before the application opens, we will also be hosting interactive webinars where you can learn more about the MAM program. Keep an eye out for these upcoming events.
