Yale Launches Two-Year Intensive MBA-MPH

The program, the first of its kind in the United States, will allow students to earn an MBA and a master's degree in public health in 22 months.

Starting in 2014, the Yale School of Management and the Yale School of Public Health will offer an intensive joint-degree program in which students will earn an MBA and a master’s degree in public health in 22 months. The program is the first of its kind in the United States.

Students will begin the program with a summer of core courses at the School of Public Health. They will spend the first academic year at the School of Management, during which they will take the integrated MBA curriculum. After a summer internship in the healthcare industry, they will spend a year at the School of Public Health, taking core and elective courses.

Applicants to the intensive MBA-MPH program must apply simultaneously to the School of Management and the School of Public Health and be admitted to both programs independently. Both degrees are awarded at the end of the entire course of study.

The two schools also offer a traditional three-year joint degree program.
