James Soldano is a Managing Partner at Sterling Investment Partners, a Greenwich, CT based private equity firm. James shares the management and control of Sterling's affairs. James first joined Sterling in 2005 and returned after business school in 2010. James currently serves as Chairman of Verdantas and Cyber Advisors and as a director of Aurora Parts & Accessories, Camp, and Markon. James is a past director of Anser Advisory, HeartLand, Ubique Group, Lipari Foods, Marcone, and Service Logic. He was also involved in Sterling’s investments in FCX Performance, Miller Heiman, and Survey Sampling International. Before joining Sterling, James held positions at the President’s Council of Economic Advisors and in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers.
James earned an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. James joined the faculty of the Yale School of Management in 2026 and serves as a Lecturer in the Practice of Management.
