Erin Frey studies second chances. Her research examines how workplaces, organizations, and society give second chances, as well as how individuals attempt to create or capitalize on the second chances they are given. Using both qualitative and experimental studies, she has studied the topic of second chances across a variety of contexts: in the military, following the MeToo movement, and for individuals who have been convicted of white collar crime.
Professor Frey’s research has appeared in outlets such as Administrative Science Quarterly and Academy of Management Journal.
Professor Frey received her PhD from Harvard Business School. Prior to joining Yale School of Management, she was an assistant professor at the University of Southern California. She holds a BA from Harvard College and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia.
