An article in Business Insider published on November 8 describes the creation of Yale SOM’s Master’s Degree in Asset Management program, now in its first year.
Professor Tobias Moskowitz, the Dean Takahashi ’80 B.A., ’83 M.P.P.M. Professor of Finance and the faculty director of the asset management program, told the publication how he partnered with the late David Swensen, Yale’s chief investment officer, to create the curriculum for the new program.
Moskowitz said that Swensen’s belief that finance should have a positive impact was imbued in the program. “This is really about how to get resources to the right places to improve our world,” he said.
