Barbara Biasi
Assistant Professor of Economics
Barbara Biasi’s research is in the areas of labor and public economic s, with a focus on education. Most of her work focuses on understanding how to allocate scarce resources across schools and students to guarantee high-quality education to all students. Some of her recent research has investigated the impact of changes in teachers’ compensation (salaries and pensions) on teachers’ labor markets, the causes and consequences of spending differences across schools, and differences in the content of education across and within institutions. Professor Biasi obtained her PhD from Stanford University.
