From the Associate Director of Admissions: 2020-21 Application Deadline and Essay Announcement
Our team is eager to meet candidates for the inaugural Master’s Degree in Asset Management cohort. Today I am pleased to announce our application deadline and essay questions for the 2020-21 admissions cycle.
Application Deadline: January 13, 2021
Decision Release: April 9, 2021
Essay Questions
Question 1: Why are you interested in the Yale SOM Master's Degree in Asset Management? Please use this question to discuss what you want to accomplish during the program and your short-term goals directly after completing the program (300 word limit).
Question 2: What do you hope to accomplish in the asset management field? Please use this question to explain your long-term career interests (300 word limit).
Applicants always have questions about the application process; this year, there are even more questions and factors to consider, because of the global health crisis and because the asset management program is brand new. In an effort to support this year’s applicants, I recently wrote a blog post in which I provide guidance for how to best prepare a successful application. I hope you’ll find the advice helpful.
We are putting the finishing touches on the application and plan to open it by the end of September. In the meantime, I invite you to join us next week for the Asset Management Online Reception with Tobias Moskowitz, program chair and the Dean Takahashi Professor of Finance, to learn more about the program and the admissions process.
