Donor Funded Scholarships

Information about Yale’s SOM’s many scholarships are available below.  All applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. No separate application is required. Scholarship recipients are notified at the same time that they are admitted.

General Merit Scholarships

Togbe Afede XIV ’89 MPPM Alumni Fund Scholarship
Established by Mr. Togbe Afede XIV, a member of the Yale SOM Class of 1989 in honor of his 30th  Reunion, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Joseph Wright Alsop (Ph.B. 1898) Memorial Scholarship
The Joseph Wright Alsop (Ph.B. 1898) Memorial Scholarship was established in 1976 to honor the memory of Mr. Alsop, who was an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1898 and president of the Covenant Group.

Harry and Nisha Arora ’04 MBA Scholarship
Established in 2015 by Harry and Nisha Arora (Yale SOM Class of 2004), this general merit MBA scholarship supports students at the Yale School of Management.

Shanna and Eric Bass '05 MBA Scholarship
This general merit scholarship was established by Shanna and Eric Bass (Yale SOM Class of 2005) for students within the Yale School of Management.

Professor David Berg Leadership Scholarship
The Professor David Berg Leadership Scholarship was established anonymously in 2006 to honor David Berg, who was a professor at Yale SOM from 1977 to 1992. This annual scholarship is awarded to support an incoming student who has demonstrated, in his or her years since college graduation, a commitment to improving both the humaneness and effectiveness of organizational life through personal and institutional self-scrutiny.

Aline and Santino Blumetti ’99 MBA Alumni Fund Scholarship
Established by Aline and Santino Blumetti ’99 MBA, in honor of Mr. Blumetti’s 20th Reunion, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student starting in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Donald G. Borg (B.A. 1928) Fellowship
The Donald G. Borg (B.A. 1928) Fellowship was established in 1977 to honor the memory of Mr. Borg, who was an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1928.

George G. Brooks, Jr. (B.A. 1931) Fellowship
The George G. Brooks, Jr. (B.A. 1931) Fellowship was established in 1977 to honor the memory of Mr. Brooks, who was an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1931.

Camp Family Scholarship
The Camp Family Scholarship was established by Mr. Gregory Camp (’84 B.A., ’88 MBA, ’95 J.D.) and Ms. Elizabeth Varley Camp (’84 MPPM) for students enrolled at the Yale School of Management, Yale College, and/or Yale Law School.

Lise Pfeiffer Chapman ’81 MBA Scholarship
Established in 2018 by Ms. Lise Pfeiffer Chapman  (Yale SOM Class of 1981), this scholarship is awarded at Yale SOM with a preference for students who have indicated that they are a first-generation college student.

C.E. Thomas Cleveland ’68 B.S. and Barbara S. Cleveland Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2018 by Barbara and Thomas ’68 B.S. Cleveland at Yale SOM in commemoration of Mr. Cleveland’s 50th Yale College Reunion.

John G. Conley ’85 Scholarship
The John G. Conley ’85 Scholarship was established in 2005 by Mr. Conley, an alumnus of the Yale SOM Class of 1985.

Dow Family Scholarship
The Dow Family Scholarship provides support to one or more deserving MBA students at the Yale School of Management.

Marc S. Effron ’94 MBA Alumni Fund Scholarship
Established by Marcus S. Effron ’94 MBA, in honor of his 25th Reunion, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Frederick Frank ’54 B.A. Scholarship
The Frederick Frank  ’54 B.A. Scholarship was established in 1992 by Mr. Frederick Frank, Yale College Class of 1954, and member of the Yale SOM Board of Advisors. Mr. Frank established the scholarship to encourage and help students prepare for leadership positions in a world where national borders are giving way to a truly global economy.

Maurice R. Greenberg Scholarship
The Maurice R. Greenberg Scholarship at Yale SOM was established in 2014 by The Starr Foundation in honor of Mr. Maurice R. Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of C.V. Starr & Co. Inc. and Chairman of The Starr Foundation.  

Peter H. Hambling ’82 MPPM Scholarship
Established in 2018 by Mr. Peter Hambling (Yale SOM Class of 1982), this general merit MBA scholarship supports one or more deserving students at the Yale School of Management.

H. Stuart Harrison (B.A. 1932) Fellowship
The H. Stuart Harrison Fellowship was established in 1980 by Mr. Harrison, an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1932.

Stephen H. Kovel ’78 MBA Alumni Fund Scholarship
Established by Mr. Stephen H. Kovel, a member of the Yale SOM Charter Class of 1978, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student during the 2019-2020 academic year. 

Robert A. Lawrence ’47 B.A. and Charles D. Ellis ’59 B.A. Scholarship
This general merit scholarship was established in 2014 by two Yale College alumni, Messrs. Robert A. Lawrence (Class of 1947) and Charles D. Ellis (Class of 1959).

Irene A. Loukides Scholarship
The Irene A. Loukides Scholarship was established in 2003 to honor the memory of Ms. Loukides, a longtime Yale SOM employee and an enthusiastic, dedicated supporter of the school.

David I. Mazer Scholarship
The David I. Mazer Scholarship was established in 1979 by Mr. Mazer, an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1950.

H. Hugh McConnell Scholarship
The H. Hugh McConnell Scholarship was established in 1960 to honor the memory of Mr. McConnell, who was an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1932.

Ruth R. McMullin ’79 MPPM and Thomas R. McMullin Alumni Fund Scholarship
Established to commemorate the 40th Reunion of Ms. Ruth McMullin, a member of the Yale SOM Class of 1979, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student starting in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Jane Mendillo YC '80, '84 MBA and Ralph Earle '84 MBA Alumni Fund Scholarship
Established  by Yale SOM alumni Jane Mendillo and Ralph Earle in honor of their 35th Reunion, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Julien R. Mininberg ’86 B.A., ’90 MBA Scholarship
This general merit scholarship was established in 2014 by Mr. Mininberg, an alumnus of Yale College (Class of 1986) and the Yale School of Management (Class of 1990).

Christina Baird Minnis (B.A. 1987) Scholarship
This scholarship was established at Yale SOM in 2013 by Ms. Christina Baird Minnis, an alumna of the Yale College Class of 1987.

William M. Moore ’78 B.A., ’88 MPPM Yale SOM Alumni Fund Scholarship
Established by Mr. William M. Moore ’78 B.A., a member of the Yale SOM  Class of 1988 in honor of his 30th Reunion, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student starting in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Surendra P. Patel Scholarship
The Surendra P. Patel Scholarship is a general merit scholarship established by Mr. Rajiv S. Patel ’97 MPPM in 2018.

Avinash Prabhakar ’04 MBA Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2014 by Avinash Prabhakar, a member of the Yale SOM Class of 2004, in honor of his 10th Class Reunion. 

Donald Rappaport '47 and Susan Rappaport Scholarship
Established in 2007, the Donald Rappaport ’47 and Susan Rappaport Scholarship is awarded to first-year students at Yale SOM.

John F. Riddell (Ph.B. 1913) Memorial Fellowship
The John F. Riddell (Ph.B. 1913) Memorial Fellowship was established in 1979 to honor the memory of Mr. Riddell, who was an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1913 and the owner of the Riddell Petroleum Company in New York.

Richard A. Robertson III (Ph.B. 1921) Fellowship
The Richard A. Robertson III (Ph.B. 1921) Fellowship was established in 1977 to honor the memory of Mr. Robertson, an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1921.

Frederick and Florence Roe Scholarship
This general merit scholarship was established as a bequest of Florence and Frederick Roe, a member of the Yale Class of 1926.

Matt Rogers ’89 MBA Alumni Fund  Scholarship
Established by Mr. Matt Rogers, a member of the Yale SOM Class of 1989 in honor of his 30th  Reunion, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for MBA students during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Established in 2019 by Rebecca Vitas Schamis ’00 MBA and David I. Schamis ’95 B.A., this general merit scholarship provides support for MBA students.

Phyllis and Fenmore Seton ’38 B.A. Alumni Fund MBA Scholarship
Established by Meher and Khush Mehta ’92 MBA, this scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative that provides support for an MBA student starting in the 2018-2019 academic year.

John R. Shrewsberry ’92 MPPM Scholarship
Established by Mr. John Shrewsberry (Yale SOM Class of 1992), this general merit scholarship supports students at the Yale School of Management.

Samuel B. Sutphin (Ph.B. 1899) Fellowship
This fellowship was established in 1984 in memory of Mr. Samuel B. Sutphin, an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1899, by his son, Dudley V. Sutphin, a graduate of the Yale Class of 1937.

Zhang Family Scholarship
Established in 2017 by Mr. Jeff J. Zhang ’94 M.S., ’97 MBA, the scholarship supports students enrolled at the Yale School of Management.

Jess Morrow Johns (B.A. 1947) Memorial Scholarship for Advertising and Marketing
The Jess Morrow Johns (B.A. 1947) Memorial Scholarship for Advertising and Marketing was established in 1983 to honor the memory of Mr. Johns, an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1947. The scholarship is awarded to students in the field of advertising or marketing.

Claire and Joe Greenberg  Scholarship
Established by Claire ’84 B.A. and Joe ’83 B.S. Greenberg in 2018, this scholarship is awarded at Yale SOM with a preference for students with a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship.

Usha ’90 MPPM and Diaz Nesamoney  MBA Scholarship
Established at Yale SOM in 2017 by Ms. Usha Nesamoney ’90 MPPM and Mr. Diaz Nesamoney, this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the MBA program with a preference for students interested in entrepreneurship and/or technology.

Nancy Pfund ’82 MPPM Scholarship
Established by Ms. Nancy Pfund (Yale SOM Class of 1982), this scholarship is awarded to students at Yale SOM with a primary preference for students with an interest in social entrepreneurship and/or impact investing, and a secondary preference for students interested in entrepreneurship.

Joseph C. McNay (B.A. 1956) Fellowship in Finance
Established in 1987 by Mr. Joseph C. McNay (Yale College Class of 1956), chairman, chief investment officer, and managing principal of Essex Investment Management Company, this scholarship is awarded to students in the field of finance.

Jane Mendillo YC '80, '84 MBA and Ralph Earle '84 MBA Scholarship
Established in 2009 by Yale SOM alumni Jane Mendillo and Ralph Earle, both from the Class of 1984, this scholarship is awarded to Yale SOM students pursuing studies with a focus on finance and/or the environment.   

Government and Economy

Paolo Zannoni Scholarship
Established in 2009 by Paolo Zannoni (’87 M.A./M.Phil. in Political Science), this scholarship is awarded to second-year Yale SOM students with a preference given to those with an interest in the intersection between government and the economy. Students who have been awarded a merit-based scholarship as first-year students are eligible for this award.

Scholarships for Underrepresented Students in U.S. Management Education
 

Consortium for Graduate Study in Management Fellowship
The mission of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management is to enhance diversity in American business by helping to reduce the serious underrepresentation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in both its member schools’ enrollments and the ranks of management. Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to the Consortium’s mission are encouraged to apply to Yale SOM through the Consortium application. Candidates who are accepted to Yale SOM through the Consortium application process are considered for full-tuition fellowships for their two years of full-time MBA study. Additionally, Consortium students benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities.

Edward J. De La Rosa and Elaine F. Tumonis Scholarship
Established in 2007 by Mr. Edward J. De La Rosa ’81 and his wife, Ms. Elaine F. Tumonis ’80 B.A., this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the MBA program with a preference given to Hispanic students.

Janet "Ginger" Gelb (MPPM 1984) Scholarship
The Janet "Ginger" Gelb (MPPM 1984) Scholarship was established in 1992 to honor the memory of Ms. Gelb, who was a Yale SOM alumna of the Class of 1984. The scholarship is awarded to students of particular promise in any area of study at Yale SOM.

Hechinger Scholarship
John W. Hechinger, an alumnus of the Yale Class of 1941, established the scholarship at the Yale School of Management in 1983. The scholarship is awarded to students from the metro Washington, D.C., area, with a preference for students of African-American descent.

National Society of Hispanic MBAs UPP Scholarship
In 2009, the Yale School of Management teamed up with the National Society of Hispanic MBAs as part of its University Partnership Program (UPP). In hopes of increasing the number of Hispanic students completing MBAs, this partial to full-tuition scholarship is awarded to outstanding, incoming Hispanic students and incoming students with a demonstrated commitment to the Hispanic community.

Sproul/Molloy Scholarship in Honor of Juliet C. Sproul
Established in 2018, this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled at Yale SOM with a preference for students from backgrounds underrepresented in management education, with a demonstrated interest in promoting diversity and inclusion in management education, and who work in the nonprofit sector.

The Reaching OUT Fellowship is a competitive Fellowship awarded to a maximum of 2 students at participating MBA programs. Selected Fellows not only have demonstrated strong academic skills, but have also demonstrated the capacity to be a leader for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. In addition to the financial support provided through Fellowships awarded by participating schools, Reaching OUT LGBT MBA Fellows have access to benefits that are designed to highlight them to Reaching OUT’s 80+ corporate partners, connect them to network of 10,000+ peers and alumni that extend beyond their campus, and allow them to develop as out LGBTQ and active ally leaders.

Yale – Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) London Scholarship
Our partnership with SEO/London provides one full or two half-tuition scholarships to SEO/London nominees who are admitted to the Yale SOM program. SEO/London prepares talented students from ethnic minority or low socioeconomic backgrounds in the United Kingdom for career success.

Jacqueline C. and John P. Hullar Scholarship
Established in 2008 by Jacqueline C. and John P. Hullar, both members of the Yale College Class of 1979, this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the joint degree program between Yale SOM and Yale F&ES,  with a preference given to third year students.

Carl W. Knobloch, Jr. Fellowship
Established in 2010 by Carl W. Knobloch, Jr.  '51 B.A., this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the joint degree program between Yale SOM and Yale F&ES.

LeBlanc ’98 Family Scholarship
Established in 2017 by Yale SOM Class of 1998 alumni, Sabrina R. and Matthew J. LeBlanc, in honor of their 20th Reunion, this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the joint degree program between Yale SOM and Yale F&ES.

PETAL Foundation Scholarship
The PETAL Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the Yale SOM-Yale F&ES joint degree program, who are residents of any non-OECD (emerging market) country.

This scholarship supports students pursuing the three-year accelerated MBA/J.D. program between the Yale School of Management and Yale Law School.

Yale School of Management and Yale School of Medicine

Rosalind Elsie Franklin MBA/M.D. Scholarship
Established in 2019 by an anonymous couple of Yale graduates, this scholarship supports a joint degree student between the Yale School of Management and the Yale School of Medicine, with a preference for students from backgrounds underrepresented in life sciences leadership positions in industry or academia. The scholarship honors the pioneer molecular biologist, Rosalind Elsie Franklin, a major contributor to the discovery of the molecular structure of DNA, who remained largely unrecognized during her lifetime.

Kevin Ye MBA Scholarship
Established in 2019 by Kevin Ye ’04 MBA to commemorate his 15th Reunion, this scholarship supports students at the Yale School of Management who are pursuing a joint degree with the Yale School of Public Health.

Sheldon L. Sussman Family Scholarship
Established in 2010 by Sheldon L. Sussman, a graduate of the Yale School of Public Health ('80 MPH) and the Yale School of Management ('83 MBA) and his wife Susan Zimny, this scholarship is awarded to an MBA student seeking a joint degree in any of the following fields: environment, healthcare, medicine, or drama.

Master of Advanced Management (MAM) Scholarships

Brandon Liu Tieh Ching Scholarship
The scholarship was established in 2015 by Ms. Gilda Liu ’03 MBA and her family to honor Ms. Liu’s father, Mr. Brandon Liu Tieh Ching, and his work in developing access to higher education institutions in China and abroad for deserving rural mainland Chinese students.  The scholarship supports highly accomplished, mainland Chinese graduates of Fudan University who are enrolled in the one-year Master of Advanced Management program at Yale SOM.

Alec L. Ellison ’84 B.A. Master of Advanced Management Scholarship
Established by Mr. Ellison (Yale College Class of 1984), this scholarship supports students from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology enrolled in the one-year Master of Advanced Management program at Yale SOM.

Usha ’90 MPPM and Diaz Nesamoney  Master of Advanced Management Scholarship

Jane Sun and John Wu Scholarship
Established in 2016 by Ms. Jane Sun and Mr. John Wu at the Yale School of Management, this scholarship supports students from Greater China who are enrolled in the Master of Advanced Management program, with a preference given to those coming from rural areas.

Yale SOM Master of Advanced Management Class of 2016 Scholarship
Established by the Master of Advanced Management Class of 2016 as their graduating class gift, the scholarship supports a student enrolled in the MAM program.

MBA for Executives (EMBA) Scholarships

Yale SOM MBA for Executives Class of 2016 Scholarship
Established by the Yale SOM MBA for Executives Class of 2016 as their graduating class gift, the scholarship supports a student enrolled in the EMBA program.  The scholarship rotates annually among the EMBA program’s focus areas: Asset Management, Healthcare, and Sustainability.

Harry and Heesun You Fellowship
Established in 2008 by Harry L. You ’83 M.A. and Heesun (Kim) You ’99 MBA, the scholarship supports students in Yale’s Doctoral Program in Management.

Regional Scholarships: Americas

Mexico

Martin Werner Fellowship
Established by Mr. Martin Werner ’91 Ph.D., this general merit scholarship is awarded to Master’s degree students at Yale SOM with a preference given to students from Mexico.

Yale SOM Scholarship for Students from Mexico
Established by Yale SOM alumni in Mexico, this general merit scholarship is part of a special Yale SOM Alumni Fund initiative. The scholarship provides support to one or more students from Mexico.

Yale School of Management/ FUNED Scholarship
Yale SOM and the Fundación Mexicana para la Educación, la Tecnología y la Ciencia (FUNED) have partnered to provide supporting funds to admitted Yale SOM students from Mexico.  FUNED is a private operating foundation focused on education. Their mission is to provide complementary financial aid and scholarships for eligible Mexican students who wish to pursue their master’s degree abroad in top ranked universities.

United States

Conley Brooks ’44 B.A. Family Scholarship
The Conley Brooks ’44 B.A. Family Scholarship, established in 2015, is awarded to MBA students for each of the two years of study, with a preference given to students from Minnesota.

Frederick T. Holliday (Ph.B. 1920) and Frederick T. Holliday, Jr. (B.A. 1945) Memorial Scholarship
The Frederick T. Holliday (Ph.B. 1920) and Frederick T. Holliday, Jr. (B.A. 1945) Memorial Scholarship was established in 1963 to honor the memories of Mr. Holliday and his son, graduates of the Yale Class of 1920 and 1945, respectively. The scholarship is awarded to students from Indiana or bordering states.

G. Harold Welch Scholarship
The G. Harold Welch Scholarship was established in 1987 by Mr. Welch to bring together Yale and the New Haven community by providing financial assistance to an incoming student from the New Haven area.

United States and International

Sim Family Foundation Scholarship
Established in 2011 by Mr. H. Boon Sim (Yale SOM Class of 1992), the Sim Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students from the Pacific Rim (including the Western United States, Canada, and South America) with non-traditional backgrounds, or to U.S. citizens living in the United States who have shown a history of outstanding scholastic achievement or public service.

Regional Scholarships: International

Chapman Scholarship
Established by Mr. Steven Chapman (Yale SOM Class of 1985), this general merit scholarship is awarded to MBA students at Yale SOM with a preference given to students from Africa, China, India, Russia, or the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Yale Global Executive Leadership Program Class of 2017 MBA Scholarship
The scholarship was established by members of the Class of 2017 Yale Global Executive Leadership Program and provides support for students from developing countries, enrolled in the full-time MBA program, who demonstrate ethical leadership and a commitment to Yale SOM’s mission.

Africa

Harambe Yale Scholar Program for African Entrepreneurs

The Harambe Yale Scholar Program provides full tuition and fees for Africa’s entrepreneurial leaders wishing to pursue a two-year MBA at the Yale School of Management. Scholarship recipients must be current African passport holders and have exhibited entrepreneurial leadership in their field of interest. Candidates must apply and be admitted to both the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance and the Yale School of Management (please note the first application deadlines are in December each year). Yale-Africa Impact Scholarships
At least two scholarships will be awarded annually based on merit to the candidates most likely to advance Yale SOM’s mission to educate leaders for business and society. The scholarships will provide funding for at least half of the tuition for the full-time MBA program. Within two years of graduation from Yale, Impact Scholars are expected to return to Africa to work for at least two years in a professional role that contributes to the continent’s development. To be considered, prospective students from Africa must apply and be admitted to Yale SOM’s full-time MBA program. Once admitted, scholarship decisions will be decided based on the competitiveness of the applicants. No additional application is needed.

Asia Pacific

Laura Cha (Shi Mei Lun) Scholarship
The Laura Cha (Shi Mei Lun) Scholarship at the Yale School of Management was established by Mrs. Laura Cha, Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and former Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. This scholarship supports a promising MBA student from mainland China with financial need and provides full tuition support for each of the two years of Yale SOM’s MBA program.

Jane Sun and John Wu Scholarship
Established in 2016 by Ms. Jane Sun and Mr. John Wu at the Yale School of Management, this scholarship supports students from Greater China who are enrolled in the MBA program, with a preference given to those coming from rural areas.

YQ Scholarship
Established by Mr. Yongqiang Qian ’00 MBA, the YQ Scholarship at the Yale School of Management awards half-tuition scholarships to MBA students from mainland China who demonstrate need and have graduated from a high school in mainland China.

Kevin Y. Zhang Scholarship
Established in 2006 by Mr. Kevin Zhang ’94 MBA, the scholarship is designed to increase the international diversity of the student body by offering scholarships for first-year students of exceptional merit from mainland China who demonstrate need.

Europe

Yale – Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) London Scholarship
Our partnership with SEO/London provides one full or two half-tuition scholarships to SEO/London nominees who are admitted to the Yale SOM program. SEO/London prepares talented students from ethnic minority or low socioeconomic backgrounds in the United Kingdom for career success.

India

Global Leaders from India MBA Scholarship Program  
The Global Leaders from India program provides up to five merit scholarships in its full-time MBA program, covering a minimum of half of tuition, for students from the country who are seeking to elevate their leadership abilities. The scholarships will be awarded to the strongest candidates based on academic and professional accomplishments, as well as leadership potential. All citizens of India who apply to the Yale School of Management MBA program will be considered for the Global Leaders from India scholarship; no additional step is required.

Middle East

Israeli Student Scholarship at Yale SOM
Established in 2018 by an anonymous donor, this scholarship supports students of Israeli descent enrolled in the MBA program at Yale SOM.

Silver Scholars Program Scholarships
 

Roberts W. Brokaw (YC ’72, GRD ’72) Free-Enterprise Scholarship
Mr. Brokaw (YC '72, GRD '72) established the scholarship in 2004 to support recent college graduates of exceptional promise and creativity who, as MBA candidates, are selected for the Silver Scholars program at Yale SOM and who have plans to pursue studies related to the corporate sector.

Robert C. Busch (Class of 1954) Scholarship
Mr. Busch, a member of the Yale College Class of 1954, established the scholarship in 2004 in honor of his 50th Class Reunion. The scholarship supports recent college graduates of exceptional promise and creativity who, as MBA candidates, are selected for the Silver Scholars program at Yale SOM.

Brandon Liu Tieh Ching Scholarship
The scholarship was established in 2015 by Ms. Gilda Liu ’03 MBA and her family to honor Ms. Liu’s father, Mr. Brandon Liu Tieh Ching, and his work in developing access to higher education institutions in China and abroad for deserving rural mainland Chinese students.  The scholarship supports recent mainland Chinese college graduates of exceptional promise from Fudan University who are selected for the Silver Scholars program at Yale SOM.

Francis Li Family Fund Scholarship
Established in 2018 by Mr. Francis Li, this scholarship supports recent college graduates of exceptional promise and creativity, who as MBA candidates are selected for the Silver Scholars program at Yale SOM.

U.S. Military
 

Bank of America Scholarship
Established in 2012 by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, this merit-based scholarship is intended to recognize service to the United States, with a primary preference for honorably discharged U.S. veterans and a secondary preference for students who worked in the nonprofit sector in the United States prior to studying at Yale SOM.

West Point Memorandum of Agreement
Given the nature of educational excellence at the United States Military Academy (USMA) and the Yale School of Management, the schools have entered into an agreement by which up to two active-duty military officers designated for three-year teaching positions at the USMA will receive a significantly reduced tuition to earn their MBAs at Yale SOM.

Teach For America Scholarship
Given their similar missions and common interest in developing leaders who will improve the world around them, the Yale School of Management and Teach for America (TFA) have teamed up to establish a merit scholarship for a qualified TFA alumnus to attend Yale SOM.
