Celebrating 50 Years of Yale SOM, One Gathering at a Time
50 Cheers for 50 Years is a global initiative inviting SOM alumni to reconnect with old friends, meet fellow SOMers, and raise a toast to 50 years of Yale SOM.
The goal is to bring alumni together for at least 50 informal gatherings around the world throughout the anniversary year. From happy hours and dinners to coffee meetups and holiday parties, every gathering is an opportunity to celebrate our shared connection to SOM and the communities we’ve built along the way.

Our Alumni Relations team will provide an SOM 50th anniversary Event-in-a-Box to help make hosting easy and fun!
There’s no single way to celebrate. The best gathering is one that brings people together in a way that feels natural to you and your community. You may choose to keep it small or invite a broader group of alumni from your local region.
Hosting doesn’t have to mean covering the cost. You can choose a format that fits your plans and budget, including a gathering where attendees purchase their own food and drinks. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

- Summer BBQ or Potluck
- Holiday party at your home
