We seek students who care deeply about the problems afflicting our world.

We equip them with the knowledge, the resources, and the networks to pursue positive and ambitious change in business and in life.

Since its founding 50 years ago, Yale SOM has sought to be a different kind of business school—one that educates leaders who can improve their organizations and their communities.

Students in the Master’s Degree in Asset Management program learn from leading practitioners, who demonstrate how to apply academic concepts in an evolving business world.

I drew directly on the course Operations Engine when thinking through plant capacity, bottlenecks, and utilization, and on The Workforce when evaluating staffing and productivity. The broader SOM core also helped me get comfortable forming an opinion with incomplete information and being clear about what would change my mind.

I work with people in healthcare every day, but I don’t usually engage with people in finance, insurance, tech, and sustainability. The diversity of the cohort was the deciding factor in my decision to come to SOM. I’ve learned so much from my classmates, and that cross-pollination of ideas has made this a truly enriching experience for me.
