The Yale School of Management Organizational Behavior (OB) Summer Internship is an 8-week paid position run through the Organizational Behavior group at Yale SOM. Accepted students in this official Yale program are awarded stipends. During their time here, interns will work on research projects under the one-on-one mentorship of professors in the OB group. Past projects have included macro, meso, and micro work.
The internship has grown since its launch in 2016 and in the last year received almost 600 applicants, from which five interns were selected: Ashley Bazin, Elyse Ganns, Manjiang Shen, Silvan Baier, and Zutima Tulandhar. Four faculty mentors -- Balázs Kovács, Ivana Katic, Julia DiBenigno, and Tristan Botelho -- volunteered their time for the internship. Together, faculty and interns produced projects such as analyzing online review selectivity, analyzing factors that lead women in male-dominated occupations to lift up other women coming up behind them and promote gender equality, and studying inequality in patient evaluations in a healthcare setting.
For the upcoming year, we are looking forward to being in-person for our internship and capstone mini-conference after a combination of remote and hybrid events due to COVID protocols. Our application will launch here in early spring.
