Evans Hall
Evans Hall will be closed to the public from 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, until 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2.
During this time doors will be locked, and the heat will be turned down in most of the building.
Building Access
- All exterior doors and office suite doors will be locked throughout the recess.
- You will need a valid Yale SOM ID to enter the building during this period.
Security
Yale Security will maintain a 24/7 presence at Yale SOM throughout the recess.
Heat
To promote sustainability and reduce expenses during the recess, the building will be reduced to 60 degrees, so you should dress accordingly if you plan to be here during the break.
If you encounter any building maintenance problems while you are here, please contact a security officer or call the Yale Control Center at 203 432 6888.
- The mailroom will close at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2.
- Friday, December 29 will be the only exception and the mailroom will be open.
- Incoming overnight parcels and Express mail will not be available at SOM from December 21 through January 2; to avoid delay, have packages delivered to your residence.
Dining
- Dec 18-21: McNay Café 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Charley’s Place open with 1 station.
- Dec 22 – Jan 1: Closed for Holiday recess.
- Jan 2 -12: McNay Café 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
- Jan 2-5: Charley’s Place closed.
- Jan 8-12: Charley’s Place open 1 station.
- Jan 15: McNay Café and Charley’s Place closed.
- Jan 16-19: McNay Café 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Charley’s Place open with 1 station.
- Jan 22: Charley’s Place and McNay Café open to normal operations.
Custodial
A partial custodial team will be deep cleaning various parts of Evans Hall throughout the break.
