[WEBINAR] Yale SOM Exchange | Regenerative Finance: A Path to Economic Justice

Monday, Jun 29 2020 at 12:00 - 1:00 pm EDT

The COVID-19 crisis has increased awareness of the importance of our Main Street businesses and is spurring greater interest in Main Street investment. Once the exclusive realm of the super-affluent, regulatory changes and new financial tools have opened opportunities for investors of any wealth status to align their money with their values. In this online event Janice Shade ’94, author of Moving Mountains: The Power of Main Street Americans to Change Our Economy, and Michael Shuman, Director of Local Economy Programs for Neighborhood Associates Corporation, and an Adjunct Professor at Bard Business School, will discuss the growing variety of impact investment opportunities, including crowdfunding, investment clubs, and community investment funds. They will provide guidance on how to integrate direct local investments into your portfolio, including new ways to use retirement accounts. This conversation will be moderated by Teresa Chahine, Sheila and Ron ’92 B.A. Marcelo Lecturer in Social Entrepreneurship at the Yale School of Management. When: June 29, 2020 | 12:00-1:00pm ET Register: https://yale.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_qZczzooSSdOkEhU7uRQEnQ
