Panel Members

Kevin Sidders, Founder and President, VinConnect Inc.

Mr. Sidders founded VinConnect in 2011 as a platform to enable top European wineries to sell direct to their most passionate consumers in the U.S.

After leaving the investment banking industry in 2008, Mr. Sidders pursued his mutual interests in business and wine through several endeavors in different tiers of the industry -- importing, distribution and retail -- before pioneering the radical idea of extending the winery direct-to-consumer sales model to suppliers outside the U.S.

Prior to his pursuit of the wine business, Mr. Sidders spent ~20 years as an investment banker focused on technology companies, most recently with Credit Suisse in San Francisco where he was co-Head of the U.S. Software Investment Banking group.  Mr. Sidders previously was a Partner and Head of Software at Thomas Weisel Partners for several years, and had significant prior investment banking experience in both Silicon Valley and New York. Mr. Sidders received a Masters of Management degree with distinction from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors from the University of Notre Dame.

Dev Gandhi (Yale '02), Managing Director, MUFG. Wine Investor

Mr. Gandhi started a company (Pied à Terre) that produces and sells Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc using grapes procured from various vineyards around Napa Valley and Sonoma.

After graduating Yale in 2002 and finishing law school, Mr. Gandhi joined Allen and Overy as an Associate in Banking and Project Finance groups. In 2010 he joined MUFG where he is currently Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and International Business Manager for the Capital Markets Group. MUFG is Japan’s largest bank.

Mr. Gandhi is also a past President of the Yale Club in New York City.  He is currently on the Yale Club's Wine Committee and is tasked with selecting wine for the Club to purchase.
